The Well Water Check Test Kit serves one purpose:  To perform quick, on-the-spot tests for Iron, Total Hardness, Total Alkalinity, pH, and Nitrates/Nitrites.

This makes the kit an ideal choice for routine checks of well water (ground water) quality when a simple baseline reading is needed.

Will Well Water Check ever replace the more in-depth testing available on this site (National Testing Laboratories), available on other sites, and available from qualified local drinking water testing laboratories?  No, but in our opinion, even a little testing beats no testing at all and the Well Water Check makes it easy for pretty much anyone to test their well water for 6 basic (and important) water quality parameters.

Suggested Add-Ons:

For an additional $6.99 we suggest adding a coliform bacteria test kit to your order.  Most well water professionals and health officials suggest testing for coliforma bacteria in well water at least once a year and certainly after any event (i.e. flooding or other natural disaster) that may have impacted the physical integrity of a well or somehow influenced the quality of water produced by the well.

In addition to testing for coliform bacteria, a potentially dangerous and not all that unlikely a well water contaminant, we also suggest performing routine general tests for dissolved heavy metals in your well water. Science has shown repeatedly that consumption of water containing excessive levels of dissolved heavy metals can cause serious and sometimes fatal health conditions.

Interested in Doing More Than 2 Tests for One Parameter?

At this time our Water Test Kit Store carries pH & Total Alkalinity, Total Hardness, Nitrates & Nitrites, and Total Iron each as separate tests in quantities of 50 tests.
